Geschenke24: From plateau to a seven-figure annual revenue

CRO Case Study Geschenke24

Starting point

An established shop for personalised gifts with a solid six-figure annual revenue. The traffic was there, the assortment worked, but revenue had been stuck at the same level for years. A classic plateau: more ad budget barely produced any additional return.

Intervention

Radical, systematic testing in the checkout. Instead of isolated cosmetic changes, the entire checkout was questioned: form fields, how payment methods are presented, shipping-cost communication, trust elements at the payment step. Every hypothesis ran as an A/B test against the existing version, never as a blind rollout.

Measurement

Each variant ran as a controlled A/B test against the original, with revenue per visitor as the guiding metric, not conversion rate alone. Tests ran until the result was statistically sound. Losing variants were discarded and documented, winners adopted permanently.

Result

Over the course of the collaboration annual revenue multiplied: from the mid six-figure into the seven-figure range. The effect did not come from a single trick, but from the sum of many measured checkout improvements reinforcing each other.
