Fit sells: Lounge Cherie and the question of size
Lounge Cherie sells loungewear and yoga wear in TENCEL Modal for women and men, in a very wide size range and made in Europe. Alongside the Shopify shop, there is a store in Styria. In the market for comfortable clothing, the brand relies on details that make a difference, and we worked on making those details visible.
I'll show you where your shop loses buyers.
What the photo does not show yet
Lots of brands sell comfortable clothing. Lounge Cherie stands out through its material, a size range far beyond the norm and production in Europe. These strengths are hard to spot in a product photo. A TENCEL Modal shirt looks like many others in a picture, and that is where the messaging comes in.
Choosing a size is the moment with the most potential. When you buy clothes online, you mainly want one thing: the right size. With a wide range, this matters even more, because many customers have been let down by standard sizing. We wanted to know how visitors decide on their size and where they hesitate. Women's and men's cuts each need their own guidance.
A user test on choosing a size
We work closely with the team. At the heart of the work is a user test. It shows how visitors decide on a size, what information they look for and where they need more confidence. Observations like these often tell you more than any click data. When people hesitate, they are usually looking for a size chart, a photo on a similar body or a note on fit.
At the same time, the first ad campaigns went live, delivered with a partner. Ads and shop tell the same story: soft material, sizes for many bodies, made in Europe. With such a wide size range, the size messaging itself is the reason to buy. So it belongs high up on the product page, clearly visible and in plain language. There it answers the question every visitor asks first.
Size range belongs in the shop window
In our view, fashion brands with a wide size range have a real edge, and they can show it more loudly. If you dress many bodies, make that visible everywhere, from the home page to the size selector. A user test with your own audience quickly shows where customers look for reassurance. The answer is often simpler than expected, and clear information in the right place is frequently enough. If you also have a physical store, you hear the questions there every day, and the online shop can answer them too.
