The feeling first, then the chip
Jourries sells stainless steel necklaces and bracelets whose gemstones store digital memories on an NFC chip. Your phone reads them, no battery needed. Jewellery and tech in one piece is what makes the brand exciting, and we worked on the order in which the shop tells both stories.
I'll show you where your shop loses buyers.
One piece of jewellery, two stories
Visitors to Jourries first see a stainless steel necklace with a gemstone. The NFC chip inside is the surprise on second look. That moment holds a lot of power. If a visitor grasps the idea at the right time and in the right dose, curiosity turns into real buying interest.
Jewellery is bought on emotion, often as a gift and often on impulse. Tech wants to be understood: how does reading it work, what do I need? Both ways of thinking meet on the same product page, and if you order them well, you win both kinds of buyer. Then there are gift occasions and bundles, which deserve a prominent place in the range while the product page stays lean.
Promise at the top, tech where questions arise
First we took the product page apart: what is promise, what is tech explanation? The promise is about the feeling of wearing a memory. The explanation is about the how. Each got its own place in the buying process: the promise high up, the tech exactly where the first questions come up. That way anyone can fall for the piece long before they know how it works.
Then we let the numbers speak. In A/B tests we checked how early the benefit has to be visible and how much explanation is really needed before the basket. In parallel we worked on the range. Gift occasions and bundles are there to catch visitors who arrive with a specific occasion in mind. The product page stays light. All the work was done in the live Shopify shop.
What we tell brands with products that need explaining
Our experience: a technical detail sells best as the answer to a question the visitor has right now. Sell the feeling first and put the tech where curiosity arises, and the page stays light while enthusiasm stays high. That applies to any product that joins two worlds. Being proud of your tech is fair, and it works best at the right moment. How little explanation is enough can be tested. That test is often the first one we would set up.
